HERE'S THE ANTIDOTE TO EVIL MASS SHOOTINGS

The killing of 17 people at a Florida high school sent shockwaves across the nation.
Nikolas Cruz, 19, confessed to being the gunman and told authorities that voices in his head told him how to carry out the ambush. Law enforcement sources referred to the alleged voices as “demons,” and they said Cruz claimed the voices told him what he needed to do to launch the attack.
Many on the left are overreacting and politicizing this incident by calling for stricter gun laws. President Trump delivered a comforting message to the victims and the youth. He vowed to take real action to ensure that children are safe in schools.
Trained and armed security at these schools will help. But passing more gun laws won’t stop mass shootings. Baltimore and Chicago have the strictest gun laws in the nation, yet they have the highest rates of gun violence. One of the worst mass shootings of children didn’t happen in the U.S. It occurred in Oslo, Norway (a country with very strict gun ownership laws), where a fanatic shot and killed 67 people at a youth summer camp.
The left has removed God from our public schools. Psychologists have been prescribing psychotropic drugs to children for decades, and things have gotten worse. We are in a spiritual warfare of good versus evil, and you cannot solve spiritual issues with physical solutions.
The reality is that Nikolas Cruz (and most people) are being influenced by the spirit of evil. This spirit speaks to people and works on their minds, convincing them to commit evil acts. Believing this voice makes a person feel good or worthless (two sides of the same coin). People identify with this voice, and they believe they’re creating the thoughts – but they’re not!
Some people falsely believe it is the voice of God speaking to them. It misinterprets the Bible and makes “Christians” believe in things that aren’t true. All thoughts (positive or negative) are the voice of the devil. And all people who have anger are controlled by evil.
When Cruz said he was listening to the voices, I understand what he’s talking about. I counsel men and women who struggle with the same voices. They are not mass shooters, but they are doing other destructive things in their lives.
There are two voices: The audible voice you hear in your mind is of Satan. The other is the voiceless voice of God. God reveals things to you in love, and He guides you in a voiceless way.
Prescribing psychotropic drugs to control people will not solve spiritual issues. In fact, many of these drugs dull the conscience and make people less aware and susceptible to being influenced by evil in their imaginations.
Love is a rare commodity in most homes, churches and schools. Young people are coming from broken homes without fathers. A recent study showed 77 percent of black children are born out of wedlock. And if the parents are together, they’re usually not getting along.
Nikolas Cruz wasn’t created to kill. Cruz was adopted at a young age by Roger and Lynda Cruz. Roger died years ago. Lynda died last fall. Cruz was then taken in by the parents of a schoolmate.
People like Cruz and the Columbine, Sandy Hook and the Santa Barbara (Isla Vista) shooting suspects were not suffering from “mental illness.” They are possessed by the spirit of darkness. Medication won’t fix this problem. Gun control won’t solve it. The government certainly can’t stop it. In the Florida case, between 2011 and 2016, authorities responded to 39 calls to Cruz’s home in Parkland, according to WSVN-7 News. The issues varied “from domestic disturbance to child/elder abuse.”
The same voice or spirit that made a home in Cruz is the same spirit that has made a home in all judgmental, resentful and depressed people. It is the same spirit that Paul talked about:
“For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do – this I keep on doing” (Romans 7:19).
Paul realized it wasn’t him, but the spirit of evil that made a home in him was controlling him. And when he let go and stopped being angry at himself and others, God took over and removed that spirit from him. We are not in control of anything.
This spirit that causes parents to spoil and destroy their children is the same destructive, evil spirit that caused Cruz to kill. It may not seem as bad, but these parents are unintentionally killing the souls of their children. Spoiled kids grow up not knowing how to work, and they can’t make it on their own. The parents set them up, yet they blame the children for being useless and lazy.
The change starts with the individual. You must overcome the spirit of anger by forgiving. When you forgive, God will forgive you. He will take away that spirit of anger and change your nature. Then you will be guided by the spirit of perfect love, which is the nature of God and its voiceless voice.
